About the farm

Terra Firme is a working potato farm on Madeira Island. We grow on our own land, harvest to order, and sell direct — no cold chain, no wholesaler in between.

Madeira grows a fraction of the potatoes it consumes. Most of what reaches supermarket shelves came from the mainland or further, spending days in transit. We pick our crop days before it reaches you.

We sell at Mercado dos Lavradores in Funchal, direct from the farm gate, and via weekly supply agreements with local restaurants and frutarias. If you want to buy regularly, get in touch — we keep supply consistent for the accounts we work with.
